Submission guidelines

Deadlines and submission guidelines for diocesan publication are listed below. Items should be sent to the communications office at communication@nulldiosohio.org.

 

Connections

Connections is a bi-monthly, diocesan news magazine. It includes feature articles, columns from the bishop, stories about ministries and individuals and information about upcoming events.

Deadlines

The deadline for Connections is the last day of every other month
February/March issue: Jan 31
April/May issue: March 31
June/July issue: May 31
August/September issue: July 31
October/November issue: Sept 30*
December/January issue: Nov 30

*Deadline may vary in the fall for convention issue.

 

Submission Guidelines

We encourage the submission of articles and pictures. We reserve the right to edit material offered for publication. All submissions must include name, phone and email address for verification. Submit stories and photos to communication@nulldiosohio.org.

  • One full page article (with art) = approximately 850 words
  • Half page = approx. 450 – 500 words
  • Name of the author should be at the top of the article
  • A short tagline should be at the end of the article, including contact information for author Example: John Doe serves as music director at St. Swithin’s. Contact him at jdoe@nullstswithins.org.
  • Include a headshot if possible (send as separate attachment, not in the body of the article)
  • Pictures should be high resolution .jpeg files (min. 300 dpi) to insure print quality (send as separate attachment, not in body of the article)
  • Please select a significant point in your article (call out) and highlight this text in the article

e-Connections

e-Connections is a weekly diocesan e-newsletter. It features important diocesan news and deadlines as well as promotions for events throughout the diocese. It is sent out every Tuesday afternoon.

Deadlines

The deadline for e-Connections is every Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.

 

Submission guidelines

Submissions for e-Connections should be limited to short announcements. Items can be sent as text in an email, or an attached Word document. Photos should be sent as .jpeg files as separate attachments, not in the body of the document or email. Flyers should be sent as .jpeg or .pdf files.
