Recent national and international tragedies show us that the risk is real, an active shooter incident can happen in any place at any time. Although most people think of churches as places of contemplation and prayer, churches have not been immune from such incidents. Preparedness and awareness will help us keep everyone safe.
A series of four video lessons on Active Shooter Training are now available in our diocesan learning portal. Click here to get started. (Note: You will be required to create an account in the learning portal to access these videos.)
Christ Church Cathedral will host an Active Shooter training/presentation by the Cincinnati Police on Thursday, August 30 at 12 noon. This free training is open to all clergy and lay congregation leaders in the diocese. The presentation will last approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Registration for the training is required for planning purposes. Click here to register
Another training will be held at Procter Center at a later date. More information will be communicated as it becomes available.
