DESCRIPTION:The diocese will offer two in-person trainings for Safe Church on September 13 & 14 at the Procter Center. These trainings will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Bishop Krumm room. We will finish training at 12\, and lunch is not part of our gathering. \nThis training will cover the following modules encompassed in Universal Training\, Safe Church\, Safe Communities: \n\nIntroduction and Theological Background\nOrganizational Rules and Policies\nHealthy Boundaries\nInclusion\nDuty to Report: Mandated Reporter\n\nThe training will be led by Emma Helms-Steinmetz and utilize power point and videos as part of the session. SUMMARY:Red Door Community Concert: The Jimmy Leach Jazztet
DESCRIPTION:The fourth season of the Red Door Community Concert series at Holy Trinity\, Oxford\, kicks off with music by the Jimmy Leach Jazztet on Friday\, September 13 at 12:15 p.m. \nOakwood resident and University of Dayton music professor\, Jimmy Leach\, plays trumpet and sings a wide range of jazz music\, including works composed or performed by Billy Strayhorn\, Duke Ellington\, Cole Porter\, Chet Baker\, Ella Fitzgerald\, Sarah Vaughan\, Tom Jobim\, and Richard Rodgers. He has appeared locally at the Dayton Art Institute\, the Levitt Pavilion\, and the Masonic Temple. Jimmy’s past performances include shows with Shirley Jones\, Johnny Mathis\, and T. S. Monk\, Jr. Jimmy is accompanied by bassist\, Chris Berg\, pianist Chris Caporale\, and drummer Jim Leslie. \nRed Door Community Concerts are always free and open to the public. Limited free street parking available. The concerts are also available on the Holy Trinity YouTube channel.
