DESCRIPTION:The deacons of the Diocese of Southern Ohio are invited for our inaugural retreat with Bishop White. Intended as a time of learning\, refreshment\, and renewal\, our weekend will offer space for conversation and rest\, strengthening connections among those called to the diaconate across the diocese. \nBishop White will join us on Saturday\, offering time for shared worship and encouragement as the community looks ahead together. \nMarch 13-15\, 2026\nArrive by 5:30 on Friday\nDinner to follow.\nDepart by noon on Sunday \nOpen to all deacons canonically resident or licensed to serve in the Diocese of Southern Ohio. DESCRIPTION:Threshold is a fresh focus on leadership for priests who are new to the diocese\, and resident clergy who are transitioning into new leadership roles in one of our parishes. \nParticipants are invited to attend eight sessions that run on a rotating basis throughout the course of one year covering a wide range of topics to prepare you well to step into your new roles with confidence and care. \nIn our sessions\, we will cover: Trust Development\, Communication and Conflict Resolution\, Culture Building and Vision Casting\, Church Finances and Property Stewardship\, Who to Call on the Diocesan Staff\, Worship & Liturgy\, Collegial Relationships\, and Health and Wellness. To graduate from the program\, participants are asked to attend each of these eight sessions once.
