DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 20th annual Granville Turkey Trot taking place Thanksgiving morning! \nRunners\, walkers\, friends and families of all ages have supported this great run through the streets of Granville all to support the Food Pantry Network of Licking County \nAs in past years\, 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Food Pantry Network of Licking County\, which works year-round to provide food and essentials to individuals and families in need across Licking County. \nIn 2024\, the Granville Turkey Trot raised $131\,000 for the Food Pantry Network and drew over 2\,300 participants ranging in age from toddlers in strollers to seasoned runners in their 80s! Organizers hope to surpass that success in 2025 as the event celebrates its 20th anniversary. \nThe 5K begins at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day\, Thursday\, November 27th\, starting and ending at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church\, 107 E. Broadway\, Granville. Participants can sign up online at the early-bird rate of $45 for ages 14+\, $25 for ages 6–13\, and free for children 5 and under. Dogs are also welcome to participate! Early registration closes October 31st. \n“The Granville Turkey Trot has become a beloved Thanksgiving tradition—a chance for friends\, families\, and neighbors to run\, eat\, and nap! It’s amazing to see how this community has shown up for 19 years to make a difference for families in need. A ferocious beast and menace to humans it was hunted as a public enemy. At Roman feasts\, boar was the first dish served. Like our Thanksgiving turkey\, roasted boar was a staple of medieval banquets. As Christian beliefs overtook pagan customs in Europe\, the presentation of a boar’s head at Christmas came to symbolize the triumph of the Christ Child over sin. \nLimited free tickets are available here. There is a limit of 4 tickets per person. \nPlease note\, the January 3 performance at 2pm is a dress rehearsal (with very limited stops). Auburn Presbyterian Church). \nThe forum will feature a diverse panel of leaders and thinkers addressing some of today’s most pressing issues: the intersections of religion\, race\, and LGBTQIA+ identities in America. Panelists will explore how faith communities can move beyond division and toward healing\, inclusion\, and justice. \n“Across the U.S.\, Christian nationalism\, racial inequities\, and hostility toward LGBTQIA+ people are tearing communities apart\,” said Rev. Dr. Ben Huelskamp\, Executive Director of LOVEboldly. “This forum creates a space where those conversations can be honest\, hopeful\, and healing.” \nPanelists \nSiobhan Boyd-Nelson (she/her) is a Columbus-based attorney\, nonprofit leader\, and advocate with more than two decades of service to Ohio’s LGBTQ+ community. A graduate of Howard University and The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law\, she has held senior leadership roles at Kaleidoscope Youth Center\, Stonewall Columbus\, and Equality Ohio\, including Interim Executive Director. Hocker (he/they) is a black\, trans\, Cincinnati-based minister and community organizer with 16+ years of experience serving marginalized communities. Known for their inclusive\, justice-centered faith\, Terry leads outreach work focused on dignity\, healing\, and radical love in action. \nJenny Jackson (she/her) is a fully affirming\, certified Spiritual Director and Associate Director of Roots & Branches in Cincinnati. She has over 15 years of experience counseling families and couples as an occupational therapist\, spiritual guide and Enneagram consultant. Jenny is the mother of 5 bi-racial children\, one of which identifies as queer. \nTyler Chernesky (he/him) is a storyteller\, writer and community organizer who serves as Program Director at Cincinnati-based nonprofit\, Community Happens Here. SUMMARY:A Celebration of Women: Lifting up women composers
DESCRIPTION:Taking place during International Women’s History month\, this event highlights and supports the work of women composers. Although historically marginalized as creators\, this concert hopes to bring to audiences a wide variety of music that spans across hundreds of years\, right to the very beginning of recorded Western music. Professional group Heri et Hodie will sing chant from medieval times. Community choir Musica Sacra will present a portion of a newly commissioned work that premiered just six months ago. Singers from feminist choir MUSE will also present a set. Other special guests from the Greater Cincinnati area will be joining and spotlighting their repertoire by women. \nA freewill offering will benefit Lydia’s House\, working to provide safe housing\, holistic care\, and supportive community\, walking with families from crisis to stability. In 2013 Lydia’s House began as a small residence for women and their children experiencing homelessness\, since that time it has grown to include an affordable housing building\, a second building in May 2022\, and a large shelter expansion in 2024. Learn more at stlydiashouse.org

DESCRIPTION:MARCH 17 – 22 and/or April 7-12\nCLINTON\, LOUISIANA \nThe Order of Naucratius in Southern Ohio is a society within the Episcopal Church. Here in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio\, the order makes its spiritual home at Procter Center. \nMembers of the Order of Naucratius commit to three rules of life: Prayer\, Conservation\, and Charity. We believe that hunting and fishing are sacred activities. We are grateful for God’s gifts\, and we hope to use our skills and endeavors to help spread God’s Kingdom. Our main activity is to share portions of our harvests with those who are hungry. \nThis is the fifth year that we will gather in Clinton\, Louisiana\, for a wild hog hunt retreat. Participants from chapters in Oklahoma\, Western Missouri\, Michigan\, and DSO will join with friends from around the US. This hog hunt contributes to the care of creation by reducing feral hog populations and preventing damage to farmland and local water sources. A portion of the protein harvested from this hunt will be donated to food pantries local to the participants\, helping to feed those in need. \n2026 Details\nIn addition to hunting\, this hunt retreat will include times of worship\, prayer\, and fellowship. Our final gathering is Church on Sunday morning. \n\nAccommodations range from a bunkhouse\, a rustic shelter with cots\, campsites\, and barn lofts.\nThere are both indoor and outdoor bathroom facilities open to all.\nMeals are provided as part of the cost and communal at lunch time\, where prayer\, hunting assignments\, and any updates are shared.\nCamp coordinator: John White\nCamp chaplain: the Rev. Christian Baron\nHospitality coordinators: the Rev. Collin Larimore\, Jerusalem and Nathan Greer\nHunt coordinators: the Rev. DESCRIPTION:MARCH 17 – 22 and/or April 7-12\nCLINTON\, LOUISIANA \nThe Order of Naucratius in Southern Ohio is a society within the Episcopal Church. Here in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio\, the order makes its spiritual home at Procter Center. \nMembers of the Order of Naucratius commit to three rules of life: Prayer\, Conservation\, and Charity. We believe that hunting and fishing are sacred activities. We are grateful for God’s gifts\, and we hope to use our skills and endeavors to help spread God’s Kingdom. Our main activity is to share portions of our harvests with those who are hungry. \nThis is the fifth year that we will gather in Clinton\, Louisiana\, for a wild hog hunt retreat. Participants from chapters in Oklahoma\, Western Missouri\, Michigan\, and DSO will join with friends from around the US. This hog hunt contributes to the care of creation by reducing feral hog populations and preventing damage to farmland and local water sources. A portion of the protein harvested from this hunt will be donated to food pantries local to the participants\, helping to feed those in need. \n2026 Details\nIn addition to hunting\, this hunt retreat will include times of worship\, prayer\, and fellowship. Our final gathering is Church on Sunday morning. \n\nAccommodations range from a bunkhouse\, a rustic shelter with cots\, campsites\, and barn lofts.\nThere are both indoor and outdoor bathroom facilities open to all.\nMeals are provided as part of the cost and communal at lunch time\, where prayer\, hunting assignments\, and any updates are shared.\nCamp coordinator: John White\nCamp chaplain: the Rev.
