SUMMARY:Order of Naucratius Hog Camp Retreat
DESCRIPTION:MARCH 17 – 22 and/or April 7-12\nCLINTON\, LOUISIANA \nThe Order of Naucratius in Southern Ohio is a society within the Episcopal Church. Here in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio\, the order makes its spiritual home at Procter Center. \nMembers of the Order of Naucratius commit to three rules of life: Prayer\, Conservation\, and Charity. We believe that hunting and fishing are sacred activities. We are grateful for God’s gifts\, and we hope to use our skills and endeavors to help spread God’s Kingdom. Our main activity is to share portions of our harvests with those who are hungry. \nThis is the fifth year that we will gather in Clinton\, Louisiana\, for a wild hog hunt retreat. Participants from chapters in Oklahoma\, Western Missouri\, Michigan\, and DSO will join with friends from around the US. This hog hunt contributes to the care of creation by reducing feral hog populations and preventing damage to farmland and local water sources. A portion of the protein harvested from this hunt will be donated to food pantries local to the participants\, helping to feed those in need. \n2026 Details\nIn addition to hunting\, this hunt retreat will include times of worship\, prayer\, and fellowship. Our final gathering is Church on Sunday morning. \n\nAccommodations range from a bunkhouse\, a rustic shelter with cots\, campsites\, and barn lofts.\nThere are both indoor and outdoor bathroom facilities open to all.\nMeals are provided as part of the cost and communal at lunch time\, where prayer\, hunting assignments\, and any updates are shared.\nCamp coordinator: John White\nCamp chaplain: the Rev. Christian Baron\nHospitality coordinators: the Rev. Collin Larimore\, Jerusalem and Nathan Greer\nHunt coordinators: the Rev. Sarah Smith and Corey Jerome\nCost of registration is $500 and includes lodging and meals.\nParticipants are responsible for licenses. Join us on May 3 as we welcome an ensemble from the Young Professionals Choral Collective (YPCC) in a program of beloved Broadway music. \nYPCC is an innovative choral ensemble that combines Cincinnati’s love of singing\, socializing\, and culture for young professionals ages 21 to 45 of different occupations\, education\, socio-economic backgrounds\, beliefs and ages. They cultivate an inclusive community through the joyful experience of choral music and are composed of over 1\,200 singers who create and share high-quality music in an accessible\, fun\, and social way.  They are the largest choral organization made up of young professionals in the nation\, and the model is gaining national attention and even inspiring similar organizations around the country. \nAll concerts in the series take place at 3 p.m. and are free.
