DESCRIPTION:St. Alban’s\, Bexley\, along with She Has a Name\, will host an author book signing with Karen Monroe on her new book\, “Heart Without a Habit\,” on Saturday\, June 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Alban’s. \nHeart Without A Habit is a raw and honest account of a woman’s journey to sobriety\, marked by faith and resilience. Despite experiencing horrific traumas\, including rape\, domestic violence\, human trafficking\, and the troubled teen industry\, Karen Monroe found unwavering love and support from God. Through community connections\, recovery treatment\, anonymous rooms\, and an active prayer life\, she was able to heal her heart from trauma and break free from the lies she told herself\, finding recovery and a renewed sense of self. \nKaren Monroe is a survivor of human trafficking and addiction\, overcoming childhood trauma to reconstruct her life through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Karen has earned a bachelor’s degree in religious studies and holds credentials as a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS+3)\, Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA)\, and Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (CPRS). Parade at 11 am\, festival 12 to 9 pm at Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove on the Ohio River. \nParade information\n\nAll participants please meet at:\n\n10:15 AM\nCorner of 7th and Central Parkway Avenue\nOnce the vehicles/floats are situated/setup\, a grand marshal will instruct groups to head to their respective float locations\n\n\nDSO Float Location in the Parade Lineup\n\nYellow (middle) Lane\nLot #29\n\n\nThings to note for DSO parade participants\n\nThere is limited space for riding on the float for those who can’t walk the route\nWater and snacks will be provided\nDo not walk in or block the emergency lane that is included this year\nAll items that we have to give out must be physically handed to the parade viewers. Please do not throw any items to people in the crowd.\n\n\n\nFestival information\nWe are located in booth 237 next to the Teen Zone. This is located in Zone A. Rev. Kristin Uffelman White\, Tenth Bishop of Southern Ohio presiding.
