DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra for We Are One: Hope\, a four-day festival promoting the stories of those who came to Greater Cincinnati as immigrants\, refugees\, or displaced persons. Events include storytelling\, conversation\, film\, art\, and music performed by folk and orchestra musicians. \n \nSpecifically\, we hope you can join us at ARCO (3301 Price Ave\, Cincinnati\, OH 45205) in Price Hill on Sunday October\, 22 at 2 p.m. for a storytelling/art event. The event is free but tickets should be reserved online in advance here. Refreshments will be served\, and there will be an exhibition of community partners serving immigrants and refugees.\n \nAnother highlight of the festival will be the final concert on Wednesday\, October 25 at 7 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral. This finale of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra’s We Are One Festival: Asylum\, features Coro Volante and Take What You Need Community Chorus under the direction of Daniel Parsley. The program\, which includes works by Saunder Choi\, James MacMillan\, Gabriela Lena Frank\, Judith Shatin\, Caroline Shaw\, and Reena Esmail\, expresses a defeat of repression\, a call toward justice for immigrants and refugees\, and an open invitation to a better society. DESCRIPTION:Potluck and Class at All Saints\, New Albany \nWe are returning to Hogwarts for a magical evening of fun\, food and learning how Harry’s story connects to our Christian faith. \nWe will begin at 6 p.m. with pizza\, sides and other delectables. We’ll provide pizza and beverages. We welcome you to bring sides and delectables. At 7 p.m.\, we will meet in the “Room of Requirement” with the Hogwarts Chaplain\, Rev. Dr. Patricia Lyons and Professor Father Jason\, Headmaster\, discussing “Harry Potter and the Signs of the Resurrection” that are seen in all the books.
