SUMMARY:In-person Safe Church training
DESCRIPTION:Safe Church training helps us protect children\, youth\, and vulnerable adults by promoting healthy boundaries\, accountability\, and care. It is a practical way to live out our Baptismal Covenant by respecting the dignity of every human being and striving for justice and peace. \nThe training also equips clergy\, staff\, and volunteers to build trust and respond faithfully and appropriately if concerns arise\, helping our congregations remain safe and welcoming places for all. \nThose who prefer an in-person learning experience are invited to attend the daylong training at Procter Camp and Conference Center on February 19. We’ll begin at 10 am and conclude by 3 pm\, with a break for lunch. Participation in this training completes the requirement for service on vestries\, diocesan leadership\, and most other ministry roles. \nTraining is available for adults and teens over 16 years old\, with a responsible adult. SUMMARY:Threshold
DESCRIPTION:Threshold is a fresh focus on leadership for priests who are new to the diocese\, and resident clergy who are transitioning into new leadership roles in one of our parishes. \nParticipants are invited to attend eight sessions that run on a rotating basis throughout the course of one year covering a wide range of topics to prepare you well to step into your new roles with confidence and care. \nIn our sessions\, we will cover: Trust Development\, Communication and Conflict Resolution\, Culture Building and Vision Casting\, Church Finances and Property Stewardship\, Who to Call on the Diocesan Staff\, Worship & Liturgy\, Collegial Relationships\, and Health and Wellness. To graduate from the program\, participants are asked to attend each of these eight sessions once. \nOur gatherings will generally occur on the third Thursdays of each month (August-November & January-April)\, from 12-3pm with lunch included at Procter Camp and Conference Center!
