DESCRIPTION:March 10 is the anniversary of the death of freedom fighter Harriet Ross Tubman. The Episcopal Church has recognized Harriet Tubman with a feast on March 10 to coincide with other national celebrations of her legacy of faith\, freedom and liberation. \nAll are invited to come and celebrate an inaugural Eucharist at St. Andrew’s\, Evanston\, to commemorate this year’s Feast Day; the Rt. Rev. Kristin Uffelman White\, bishop of Southern Ohio\, presiding and the Rev. Julia Joyce-Miesse\, rector serving St. Luke’s\, Granville\, preaching. \nThe Eucharist will include congregational singing of spirituals and freedom songs and a teach-in sermon about the life and witness of Harriet Tubman. Together we’ll be reading Good Inside by child psychologist Dr. Becky Kennedy\, placing her ideas alongside our Baptismal Covenant. \nWe’ll explore what it means to raise children who are already loved\, worthy\, and held by God. We’ll also reflect on how a compassionate\, relationship-centered approach to parenting resonates with our baptismal promises: to seek Christ in all people\, to respect the dignity of every human being\, and to grow together in love. \nThrough honest conversation and practical reflection\, parents and caregivers will be supported in translating these shared values into everyday family life. We’ll also learn more about giving ourselves grace when we miss the mark with our kids! \nNo theology background required—just curiosity\, openness\, and a desire to learn. Groups may choose to join the Zoom meeting from a common location\, or participate individually from home. \nThis book study gathers on Wednesday evenings from 7-8 pm from February 25 to April 1 and takes place on Zoom. DESCRIPTION:Parish leaders are invited to a diocesanwide Freecycle event at the former Iglesia Episcopal Espíritu Santo (IEES) building on Saturday\, March 14th from 10-2 pm. \nWhen a church closes\, where does all of the stuff end up? While much of the liturgical items from recently closed properties are (or will be) also available on our Diocesan Freecycle page\, at this particular site\, there are many large and non-liturgical items that also available at no cost to our diocesan congregations. On March 14\, many items will be available for pick-up\, including assorted furniture\, nursery furniture\, tables and chairs\, shelving\, office equipment\, and much more. \nBring a truck and help put these items\, lovingly given to the church\, back into active ministry! \nQuestions about this event and program?\nPlease contact the Rev.
