SUMMARY:PIMIL International Luncheon & Silent Auction
DESCRIPTION:You are Invited to join Partners-in-Ministry-in-Liberia (PIMIL) in the 16th International Luncheon and Silent Auction Fundraiser on July 19 at St. Philip\, Columbus\, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. \nThe Fundraiser is when PIMIL raises most of the funds to support the education of over 200 students in school in Liberia. The theme is “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created” (Esther 4:14v). The speaker will be Dr. Karen Peeler\, Professor Emeritus of Voice and Pedagogy at The Ohio State University. \nEnjoy delicious American and Liberian food. A guest remarked of a Liberian dish: “I come just for those Liberian greens”! Enjoy the renewal of friendships and of making new friends\, African drumming\, intercultural worship and activities\, students’ essays on the theme\, a book signing of “The Story of PIMIL\,” by the Rev. Abby Flemister\, and much more! There is ample parking! \nThe fundraising goal for the year is: $22\,000. Cost for the luncheon is adults – $25.00; ages – 5-19: $10; children 4 and under FREE! Tickets are available by calling Robin Holland  at (614) 266-4951 or call St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church at (614) 882-2706. \nIf you cannot attend and would like to donate\, you can donate online here\, or checks should be written to St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church (with PIMIL on the memo line) and mailed to the church at 30 E. DESCRIPTION:Partners in Ministry in Liberia\, or PIMIL\, will hold its 15th annual PIMIL International Luncheon & Silent Auction Fundraising on Saturday\, July 20 at St. Philip’s\, Columbus\, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The delicious International Luncheon menu this year includes\, for the first time\, delicious Liberian Chicken Gravy (with or without tomato). Variations of the recipe will be available for purchase. \nMilestones at this year’s event also include the publication: “The Story of PIMIL\,” and “Spirituals sung in Liberia”. \nThe event is a family activity\, with the children enjoying activities such as drum circles\, making grass skirts and accessories\, and much more. Come and reconnect with friends and make new ones! \nThe fundraising goal is $25\,000. Tickets are $20 for adults\, children 5 to 19 years old: $10. Children under 4 are free! Funds raised support the education of over 200 students in Liberia that include Ebola and COVID-19 orphans.
