SUMMARY:Upper Arlington Culture and Artisans Fair
DESCRIPTION:Saint Mark’s\, Columbus\, is hosting the third annual UA Culture and Artisans Fair on Saturday May 3 from 10 am to 3 pm. The event will feature approximately 20 artisans from all over the world\, showcasing and selling their handmade items\, as well as delicious food and live music\, and an opportunity to interact with the artisans and hear their stories. \nThe Fair is being presented in partnership with CRIS (Community Refugee and Immigration Services) and many of the artisans will be refugees\, asylum seekers and others building a new life in the Central Ohio area. \nCome and explore a variety of arts and crafts from all over the world\, have fun\, and help us welcome and support some of our new neighbors. \nThe Culture and Artisans Fair is sponsored by the City of Upper Arlington’s Community Relations Innovation Small Grant Program and is part of the Community Relation Committee’s (CRC) UA Welcome Series. \nThe fair will take place on the front lawn of church\, at the corner of Dorset and Tremont Roads. Rain or shine.

SUMMARY:Choral Evensong
DESCRIPTION:Saint Mark’s\, Upper Arlington\, will offer a service of Choral Evensong\, with music by the St. Mark’s Choir\, on Sunday\, March 5 at 4 p.m. Music will include the Second Service by William Byrd\, responses by Bernard Rose\, and anthems by Johannes Brahms and Martin Lauridsen. Admission is free. Donations will be gratefully received in support of the Special Music Fund at Saint Mark’s. A reception will follow. All are welcome! \nChoral Evensong is a service of sung Evening Prayer that began during the English Reformation of the 1500s. It combines elements from several older evening services that had been prayed daily in monasteries throughout the Middle Ages. The service is contemplative and includes prayers (both spoken and sung)\, readings from scripture\, hymns\, and choral anthems. \nSaint Mark’s is located at 2151 Dorset Rd in Upper Arlington\, across from the Tremont Center shopping center and the Upper Arlington Public Library. Parking is available on the street and in the Tremont Center parking lot.

SUMMARY:Godly Play Core Training
DESCRIPTION:St. Mark’s\, Upper Arlington\, and St. John’s\, Worthington\, will co-host Godly Play Core training Feb 23-25 at St. Mark’s. \nGodly Play Core Training is the recommended training for every adult leading Godly Play sessions (years 1-3 of practice)\, for administrators\, and for clergy. Over the course of three days (minimum 18 contact hours)\, participants experience all aspects of the Godly Play method and begin to become fluent in the Godly Play core stories and fundamental practices. \nMore information and registration here.
