DESCRIPTION:Southern Ohio Black Ministries is proud to launch the Black Ministry Institute\, a new initiative focused on strengthening and celebrating Black worship in our parishes. \nSaturday\, June 27 \n8:15 am – Check-in Opens\n9 am – Program begins\n3 pm – Departure \nSt. Simon of Cyrene Episcopal Church\n810 Matthews Dr.\nCincinnati\, OH 45215\nstsimonlincolnheights.org \nJoin us for a day of learning\, reflection\, and inspiration centered on Episcopal worship in African American contexts. This inaugural gathering will bring together clergy\, lay leaders\, and musicians for a series of engaging workshops designed to deepen our practice of worship that is both unashamedly Black and unapologetically Episcopalian. Participants will explore music\, liturgy\, and embodied worship through the lens of the Black Church tradition\, remaining grounded in the richness of the Book of Common Prayer. \nMore than a conversation\, this Institute is an opportunity to develop practical\, context-specific ministry goals that can be carried back into local congregations. \nWhether you are leading worship weekly or helping shape the vision of your parish\, this Institute offers tools\, theological grounding\, and a community committed to vibrant\, culturally rooted Episcopal worship. LGBTQIA+ individuals and families are welcomed into the full sacramental life and worship of the church and encouraged to participate in leadership\, ministry\, and service at all levels. \nJoin us for a celebratory Pride Mass at 5:00 pm on Sunday\, June 29. \nPride Service Choir Rehearsal | 3:00 pm in the Nave  \nCome sing with us! Bring your choir robe if you have one.Email Kirsten Marron at kmarron@cccath.org by Wednesday\, June 24 to let us know you’re coming! \nPride Service with Holy Eucharist | 5:00 – 6:15 pm  \nAll are welcome! Clergy are invited to vest and process. \nPride Dinner | 6:15 – 7:00 pm  \nFood is provided\, just bring fellowship! \nTwilight Tea and Drag Performance | 7:00 – 9:00 pm  \nThe DJ will be in Sycamore Commons starting at 6:00\, and the drag Performers will join them at 7 pm. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. \nIn the event of inclement weather\, the DJ and show will be moved inside to the Cathedral Library.
