A guest remarked of a Liberian dish: “I come just for those Liberian greens”! Enjoy the renewal of friendships and of making new friends\, African drumming\, intercultural worship and activities\, students’ essays on the theme\, a book signing of “The Story of PIMIL\,” by the Rev. DESCRIPTION:Partners in Ministry in Liberia\, or PIMIL\, will hold its 15th annual PIMIL International Luncheon & Silent Auction Fundraising on Saturday\, July 20 at St. Philip’s\, Columbus\, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The delicious International Luncheon menu this year includes\, for the first time\, delicious Liberian Chicken Gravy (with or without tomato). Variations of the recipe will be available for purchase. \nMilestones at this year’s event also include the publication: “The Story of PIMIL\,” and “Spirituals sung in Liberia”. \nThe event is a family activity\, with the children enjoying activities such as drum circles\, making grass skirts and accessories\, and much more. Come and reconnect with friends and make new ones! \nThe fundraising goal is $25\,000. Tickets are $20 for adults\, children 5 to 19 years old: $10. Children under 4 are free! Funds raised support the education of over 200 students in Liberia that include Ebola and COVID-19 orphans. Dolls in Liberian clothing and other items will be for sale\, and attendees will have the opportunity to read student essays on the theme “Knock and it will be opened unto you.” \nTickets are $20 for adults\, and $10 for children under 18. Donations are accepted. Proceeds support the education of over 200 students in Liberia\, who now include COVID-19 orphans. \nQuestions?
