Scholarships for Healthy Congregations

Clergy and Vestry Leaders,

Healthy Congregations, Inc. is an Ohio-based ecumenical and interfaith organization that facilitates conversation around thinking more clearly about families, congregations, and leadership. They offer resources and training that look at communities as living systems that incorporate thinking, feeling, responsibility, and purpose. Using contributions of leaders in the field of Bowen Family Systems Theory and congregational life, Healthy Congregations, Inc. offers educational resources and leadership development material designed with the purpose of encouraging healthier, clearer, and deeper individual and community life.

As part of a grant from the diocesan Commission on Congregational Life (COCL), clergy and lay leaders from the Diocese of Southern Ohio are able to apply for scholarships to participate in Healthy Congregations, Inc.’s upcoming programming.

The September-April course titled, “GPS for Leadership: Finding One’s Way in the System,” provides an overview of Bowen Family Systems Theory, an exploration of each of the eight concepts and an opportunity to apply theory in work and life. The eight three-hour online sessions meet monthly September-April 2025. Click here for more information about the course. The deadline to register is this Friday, September 6th.

The year-long Leadership Series, “Cultivating Connections in a Fragmented World,” is an opportunity for leaders across professions to enrich and expand their ability to apply principles of systems thinking to self, family, and organizations. Online and in-person (Lewis Center, OH) attendance options are available. Click here for more information about the series. The deadline to register is this Friday, September 6th.
