Annual Enrollment

Annual Enrollment for 2026 benefits has passed. If you are not currently enrolled in health insurance but have been hired by a congregation in the Diocese of Southern Ohio as a full-time employee and are working 1,500 hours/year, contact your parish administrator.

As part of The Episcopal Church, the Diocese of Southern Ohio provides a pension plan for any lay employee who is 18 years or older and working 1,000 hours per year. The pension plan incorporates a death benefit and, upon reaching the normal retirement date of age 65, provides benefits in the form of a monthly annuity of 1% of final monthly compensation for each year of service. The Lay Pension Plan can be either a Defined Benefit Plan or Defined Contribution Plan (similar to an IRA). Up to 9% of the employee’s salary will be contributed at no cost to the staff member (depending on selections by the employee). Learn more.

Active clergy participating in the Clergy Pension Plan are automatically enrolled for short-term disability insurance and are eligible for benefits, provided their pension assessments are current. Learn more on the CPG website.

Active Lay Employees either receive this benefit from their employers or are eligible to subscribe and pay for this coverage through you, their employer.

This CPG Employee Assistance Plan provides immediate help, referrals, and resources. The plan covers telephone consultations and up to 10 face-to-face counseling sessions per issue at no member cost. Learn more.
