You’re Invited: Zoom Forums on Proposed New Mission Share Formula

“Mission Share” is the contribution each congregation in our diocese makes to our common mission and ministry. It funds a portion of the diocesan budget, enabling our direct ministries that embody the Gospel of Jesus Christ, sharing in God’s transformation of our communities with the Holy Spirit as our guide.

The Mission Share Formula Review Committee has been working on a new formula for calculating mission share aimed at making it more simple to calculate and easier to understand than our current practice. The committee has developed two possible models for mission share that would begin in 2026 and we want to hear feedback from parish leaders about their clarity, ease of use, and transparency. Your comments will help the committee refine these models before they make a final recommendation to Diocesan Council.

These Zoom forums are open to all; treasurers, wardens, clergy in charge, and others with knowledge of congregational finances are especially encouraged to attend. Please have with you your congregation’s Parochial Reports for 2023 and 2024, a calculator, and a pen/pencil and paper.

DATES & RSVP

The committee will offer two opportunities to participate in a forum. Both sessions will take place on Zoom. There is no deadline to RSVP.
