The World on a String: Music for Violin and Cello

Two Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra musicians—violinist Evin Blomberg and Principal Cellist Ilya Finkelshteyn—unite for an evening of brilliance and intimacy.
From the elegance of Scarlatti and Bach to the fiery drama of Handel/Halvorsen’s Passacaglia, this program highlights the expressive power and dialogue unique to the violin–cello duo.
Highlights include Baroque masterpieces such as Bach’s Violin Sonata No. 1 in G minor and the iconic Cello Suite No. 1 in G major. The ticketed concert takes place Friday, October 24, 2025 at 7:30 PM at St. Thomas, Terrace Park.
