Good Neighbor Series at Indian Hill Church: The Transformative Power of Theater

Introducing the Good Neighbor Series, created by the Indian Hill Church to provide informative and entertaining programs around our communities’ common interests. Open not only to church members but also to those who live in surrounding neighborhoods, we invite you to mark your calendars for evenings of fellowship, fun, food, and learning.
On Tuesday, January 13, Indian Hill Church will host a special evening, featuring the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) to explore how the arts—especially theater—can help people of all ages grow in confidence, communication, empathy and creativity. Our guests for the evening will be Sara Clark, Director of Development for CSC and a former professional actress, and Emily Bruns, CSC’s Education Director. Both are dynamic presenters with a deep passion for helping people, especially students and life-long learners, discover the transformative power of drama. Together, they will share insights from their work with students across Greater Cincinnati, including programs at Indian Hill High School and Cincinnati Country Day School, where theater education has become a powerful tool for personal and social development.
During the evening, Sara and Emily will share highlights from CSC’s educational programs and describe the science and stories behind why drama makes such a difference, especially for children and teens.
Come discover firsthand what drama can do—not just for our children, but for all of us who believe in the power of imagination and human connection.
A catered dinner from Beth O’Leary will be offered before the presentation, allowing time for fellowship and conversation with friends and neighbors. Dinner will include wild rice with Juliane roasted chicken, dried cherries, yellow peppers, scallions, toasted almonds, with balsamic vinaigrette dressing – All Gluten Free
Please RSVP by January 6 to sshumard@indianhillchurch.org.
