Order of Naucratius Hog Camp Retreat

The Order of Naucratius in Southern Ohio is a society within the Episcopal Church. Here in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio, the order makes its spiritual home at Procter Center.
Members of the Order of Naucratius commit to three rules of life: Prayer, Conservation, and Charity. We believe that hunting and fishing are sacred activities. We are grateful for God’s gifts, and we hope to use our skills and endeavors to help spread God’s Kingdom. Our main activity is to share portions of our harvests with those who are hungry.
This is the fifth year that we will gather in Clinton, Louisiana, for a wild hog hunt retreat. Participants from chapters in Oklahoma, Western Missouri, Michigan, and DSO will join with friends from around the US. This hog hunt contributes to the care of creation by reducing feral hog populations and preventing damage to farmland and local water sources. A portion of the protein harvested from this hunt will be donated to food pantries local to the participants, helping to feed those in need.
2026 Details
In addition to hunting, this hunt retreat will include times of worship, prayer, and fellowship. Our final gathering is Church on Sunday morning.
- Accommodations range from a bunkhouse, a rustic shelter with cots, campsites, and barn lofts.
- There are both indoor and outdoor bathroom facilities open to all.
- Meals are provided as part of the cost and communal at lunch time, where prayer, hunting assignments, and any updates are shared.

- Participants are responsible for licenses. A non-resident 5 day license is $65.
- Travel is the responsibility of each participant.
