The Rev. Bruce Allan Freeman
1959 – 2026
The Rev. Bruce Allan Freeman, former rector of the Church of the Redeemer, Hyde Park, died April 13th.
Bruce earned his Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College and his Master of Divinity from the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA. Well known for his good humor and vision, Bruce served several congregations throughout his active ministry, including parishes in the Dioceses of Minnesota, Massachusetts, and California. In Southern Ohio, Bruce served twelve years as rector of the Church of the Redeemer in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati, in addition to service on several diocesan commissions.

Please hold Bruce’s family and friends in your prayers as they grieve and remember his life, especially his wife, Dana; their children, Audrey (Clinton), Nathaniel (Leah), and Carl (Virginia); and their grandchildren, Malakai, Avery, Cassian, Freya, and Josephine; and their many other family and friends.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 6 at 11 am PT/2 pm ET.

Church of the Redeemer in Cincinnati will host a 2pm ET gathering for those wanting to participate via the funeral livestream together. All are welcome. A reception will follow. Please RSVP.
