Applications open for 2026 Faith in Life Grants

People of God in Southern Ohio,

For over 50 years, the Diocese of Southern Ohio has supported our congregations through Faith in Life Grants, endowment-supported funding for programs and projects that form disciples at every stage.

We know that the Church’s vitality flows from communities shaped by the love of Christ. We seek proposals that cultivate disciples—not just participants—and that help congregations become places where faith is practiced, embodied, and lived. These grants support initiatives and projects that deepen discipleship and Christian identity, embed spiritual practices and theological reflection, and build a culture of formation within the life of a congregation.

The 2026 application form is now open. Applications will be reviewed in three cycles:

  • due April 15 for review in early May
  • due July 15 for review in early August
  • due October 1 for review in mid October

All projects must be an initiative or partner of a faith community in the Diocese of Southern Ohio. Grants will range between $1,000-$10,000.

As Olivia prepares to depart her role on diocesan staff to serve as vicar for Grace, College Hill, Miriam McKenney (missioner for Beloved Community) is stepping in to coordinate this granting program. Please contact Miriam with any questions at mmckenney@diosohio.org.

We look forward to considering your requests and participating in God’s transformation of your communities!

Faithfully,

The Rev. Olivia Hamilton
