Gathering April 26-27 in South Bend, Indiana

The Diocese of Southern Ohio is one of 14 dioceses of Province V, the midwest province of the Episcopal Church. Province V will host its largest event, the Big Provincial Gathering (BPG), April 26-27 in South Bend, Indiana. The BPG is an opportunity to meet new people and connect with others who share your ministry passions. It’s structured like a “ministry fair” with a large variety of workshops and conversations where program and resource ideas are exchanged.
The 42 available workshops will be facilitated by individuals with a vast amount of experience and knowledge in each workshop’s subject area. Presenters include several members from Southern Ohio.
- Jerusalem Greer, Interim Director of Procter Center, will present “Camps, Cathedrals and the Ministry of Belonging,” and “All Creation Sings: Worship Experiences in the Great Outdoors”
- The Rev. Olivia Hamilton, Calvary, Cincinnati, will present “You Are Divine: Supporting the Need of LGBTQ+ Youth”
- Miriam McKenney, Director of Dismantling Racism, will present “Picture Books and Racial Reconciliation”
- The Rev. Joseph Kovitch, Missioner for New Episcopal Communities and the Rev. Michael Tigner, Church Planter, will present “Leading New Episcopal Communities: Innovation and Opportunity”
- Ed Milbrada, St. Anne’s, West Chester, will present “Scouting as a Youth Ministry”
