2023 Absalom Jones Symposium

The 2023 Absalom Jones Symposium, “Becoming A Beloved Community Through Equality, Peace and Security,” will be held Saturday, February 18, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Zoom. The symposium is presented by the Bishop Herbert Thompson, Jr. Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians.

The host of the event will be the Very Rev. Owen Thompson, dean of Christ Church Cathedral. Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney, vice mayor of the city of Cincinnati, will act as moderator. Presenters include E. Earl McCloud, Jr., African Methodist Episcopal Church 3rd District Presiding Bishop; the Rev. Dr. Benjamin Speare- Hardy, rector of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Trotwood; and the Rev. Michele Godhigh, pastor of Grace AME Church in Cincinnati.
