AI & Prompting: Empowering the Church for Today and Tomorrow

Join leaders across Southern Ohio for a Zoom intensive on AI use and church ministry, led by church communications professional and AI-leader, Katie Allred. This Zoom workshop is geared toward clergy and lay leaders as well as communications staff and volunteers.
This hands-on training session is designed to help ministry leaders confidently use artificial intelligence in their daily work. The workshop covers the foundations of generative tools and effective prompting techniques—including role-based prompting and iterative refinement—and features a live challenge where attendees apply these skills to real-world tasks.
The session also prioritizes ethics and safety, dedicating time to the specific risks churches face, such as protecting missionary communications and safeguarding sensitive data like counseling notes and giving records. Participants will leave with a clear framework for responsible AI use that aligns with their mission and values, centered on the principle: “Automate the Temporary. Invest in the Eternal.”
