Join us for a day of learning, reflection, and inspiration centered on Episcopal worship in African American contexts. This inaugural gathering will bring together clergy, lay leaders, and musicians for a series of engaging workshops designed to deepen our practice of worship that is both unashamedly Black and unapologetically Episcopalian. Participants will explore music, liturgy, and embodied worship through the lens of the Black Church tradition, remaining grounded in the richness of the Book of Common Prayer.

More than a conversation, this Institute is an opportunity to develop practical, context-specific ministry goals that can be carried back into local congregations.

Whether you are leading worship weekly or helping shape the vision of your parish, this Institute offers tools, theological grounding, and a community committed to vibrant, culturally rooted Episcopal worship. Come ready to learn, share, and be renewed.

Members and leaders of the four Historically Black Congregations of the Diocese of Southern Ohio and all those interested in better understanding worship in African American contexts are invited to attend. There is no cost for this offering, the deadline to register is June 20.
