Connections between Social Justice and Creative Arts

Interested in creative actions, passionate about social justice or ever thought about immersion travel? The Oasis at Grace (Episcopal Church, College Hill) will host a vibrant conversation about a mission in East Africa on Saturday, February 10 at 2 p.m. Snacks and drinks available as well as an art exhibition.

The event will be facilitated by Jamey Ponte, a change maker, missionary, Grace Episcopal Church governing board member, artist and activist, living in Africa’s largest informal settlement. He’ll share seldom heard truths about perspectives of sustainability & survival. Hear about the launch of the Kibera Art District in Kenya, how it pushes systemic change, and an upcoming forum series to empower spirituality, critical thinking and economic shifts for youth.
