Red Door Community Concert: Christopher Wilke (lute)

The second concert in the Red Door Community Concert series at Holy Trinity, Oxford, will feature lutist Christopher Wilke on Friday, October 25 at 12:15 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public, and is also available on the Holy Trinity YouTube channel.

Christopher Wilke studied guitar and composition at the College of Mt. St. Joseph. He earned a Masters in classical guitar from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music and a doctorate in Early Music Performance at the Eastman School of Music.

A dedicated teacher, Dr. Wilke is now chair of guitar studies at CCM. He also founded Early Music Ensembles and a large Guitar Orchestra. Several of his compositions have been published by Les Productions d’Oz in Montreal. Dr. Wilke performs widely, having given solo recitals in Italy and Germany as well as throughout the United States. You won’t want to miss his concert of Classical music on guitar and lute!
