Thanks to two generous gifts of $10,000 each—one from an anonymous donor and the other from the Bishop’s Discretionary Fund—Episcopal Community Ministries (ECM) has launched a new Special Food Insecurity Fund and opened applications for a new Special Food Insecurity Grant.
These new grants, for up to $2,000 each, are available to congregations responding to food insecurity through a “blessing box,” food cupboard, food pantry, community dinner, food delivery service, or gardening program. Fill out the application. The number of grants awarded will depend on the amount donated to the fund. The deadline to apply for a grant is September 15.
You can help the Special Food Insecurity Fund meet the needs of our communities now. Donate now, and your generous gifts will be put to use directly by a food ministry in the Diocese of Southern Ohio.
