Procter Center is excited to announce that the Rev. Christopher Richardson has accepted an invitation to serve as our year-round Resident Chaplain! Christopher grew up in Westerville, and now lives with his wife, Sheena, two sons, and their dog in Columbus, where he serves as Priest in Charge at St. John’s. Christopher is also the Associate for Curriculum Development for the Diocese of Southern Ohio.
Christopher says that, “Procter is a place that allows people to be authentically themselves in both “traditional” and “non-traditional” settings and, by extension, allows for a more authentic expression of the church”.
As Resident Chaplain, Christopher will work to create a network of chaplains and spiritual directors who would like to share their ministries with groups and guests who visit Procter. He will also work with our team to develop liturgies and worship experiences during the year and at summer camp. He will also be our on-site chaplain at Procter two days a month.
During Summer Camp, Christopher is most looking forward to seeing youth taking up the opportunity to discover who they are and realizing that, whoever that person turns out to be, they are loved and accepted.
If you are interested in serving at Procter as a chaplain at Summer Camp or throughout the year, or want to set up a visit with Chaplain Christopher, please email him at crichardson@diosohio.org.
