Four Opportunities to Meet with Diocesan Staff, Gather as Leaders from your Region
In 2025, we took important steps in reinvigorating connections across churches at the regional level in the Diocese of Southern Ohio. We experimented with Regional Staff Work Days, in which diocesan staff traveled together to sites around the diocese, increasing access to in-person meetings and fellowship with local leaders. At the same time, a task force met and gathered with lay and clergy leaders for conversation and input about the ways we gather across geography, a process that resulted in the creation of four new regions.
As a continuation of that investment in accessibility and connection, the diocesan staff will once again hit the road in 2026, offering two-day opportunities to meet, learn, celebrate, and connect beyond the walls of your own church.
In each region of the diocese, the diocesan staff will be present for Staff Work Days, offering the opportunity for drop-in fellowship and appointments with local leaders, reducing barriers for face-to-face connection.
On the following day, all in that region are invited to come together for a day of learning and fellowship and time with Bishop White. Plus, as shared in our initial announcement, these gatherings will be an opportunity to consider a more permanent name for your region that honors the geography, history, or culture of your unique area.
