Explorers’ Retreat Day
FEBRUARY 22, 2025 at PROCTER CENTER
Are you hearing a call to ordained ministry? Do you feel a nudge toward the diaconate or priesthood?
In Diocese of Southern Ohio, attending the Commission on Ministry’s “Explorers’ Retreat” is the first step to entering the discernment process for ordained ministry. Both the explorer and parish priest (or in the absence of the priest, a warden or other member of parish) must participate.
The Explorers’ Retreat Day will include:
- an introduction to our diocesan Explorer Discernment Process (pre-Postulancy)
- basic information about the steps to ordination
- next steps for beginning the process
- sharing about various lay ministries
- Bible study and theological reflection about ministry
Join us! Take this first, courageous step into your big questions about vocation and call in God’s church.
