Beloved Community Book Study:
The Church Cracked Open by the Rev. Stephanie Spellers
Jan. 6, Feb. 3, March 3 from 7-8 pm on Zoom
We all belong in the Beloved Community book study. Each first Tuesday of the month, we gather, pray, and discuss a book the hosts believe will bring us closer to the dream God has for us as God’s beloved children.
Our January, February, and March book is The Church Cracked Open: Disruption, Decline, and New Hope for Beloved Community by the Rev. Stephanie Spellers. This book will help us put our last book, Homegoing, in an Episcopal context. Whether you read Homegoing or not, please join us to read this important book. When you register, you can request a complimentary copy of the book in paperback, Kindle, or audiobook.
Reading the book is not mandatory for this book study! Whether you read a few pages or the whole book, our conversation will be better with you there. Just prepare for spoilers! We’ll talk about the book—our favorite parts, where we see ourselves, and what this book has to do with us, our faith communities, and our diocese.
