Finance & Audit

The finance department oversees payroll, human resources, budget and expenditures of the diocese. It also serves as a liaison for various foundations and endowments. Below you will find resources and information about diocesan and congregational financial management, as well as contact information for the finance team.

All potential conflicts of interest, no matter how small or insignificant, are to be reported to the Trustees prior to engaging in a conflict of interest action. The Trustees will then make a decision as to whether the relationship is an appropriate one for the Diocese of Southern Ohio. All potential conflicts of interest are to be disclosed and represented annually.

The consolidated budget is funded primarily with Mission Share dollars. Other sources of funding come from the William Cooper Procter and other restricted funds. Learn More.

Individuals acting on behalf of the diocese may be reimbursed for mileage and other necessary expenditures provided the expenses have been pre-approved by the bishop or his/her designee. Reimbursements will only be approved if received by the Finance office within 60 days of the date of the expenditures.

Mission Share is the annual financial contribution required from a congregation for the support of the mission and ministry of the diocese. Final mission share payments are due June 30 for the previous year. Learn more.
