Dear Friends in Christ,
The diocese will gather for our 151st Diocesan Convention November 14-15, 2025 in Hamilton, Ohio. There, we will learn together, feast together, and share with one another the challenges and celebrations of ministry. Parish delegates will also spend time conducting the business of the diocese, including electing leaders to several positions in our diocesan leadership.
As your co-chairs of our Nominations Committee, we invite you – the clergy and vestry leaders of your congregation – to consider the following positions and whether there might be members of your community with the skills, interest, and capacity to lend their voice and perspective to our collective diocesan body. The positions are listed below and more information on each office can be found on our website.
- Standing Committee, Three-Year Term (1 clergy, 1 lay person)
- Trustees of the Diocese, Five-Year Term (1 person, clergy or lay)
- Trustees of the Church Foundation, Five-Year Term (1 person, clergy or lay)*
- Procter Center Board of Advisors, Three-Year Term (1 person, clergy or lay)
- Deputies and Alternate Deputies to the 2027 General Convention (4 clergy deputies, 4 lay deputies; 4 clergy alternates, 4 lay alternates)
- Regional Disciplinary Board, to fill unexpired Three-Year Term (1 lay person)*
- Diocesan Council*
- One (1) lay person to be elected to a one-year vacancy (Class of 2026)
- One (1) lay person and one (1) cleric to be elected to two-year vacancies (Class of 2027)
- Three (4) lay persons and two (2) clergy to be elected to full three-year terms (Class of 2028)
The nominations form is available for submissions now and will be shared again in the official Call to Convention later this summer. The requested deadline for nominations is September 16th (one day before the first pre-convention meeting) and the final deadline for nominations is September 30th.
All nominees will have the opportunity to provide a two-minute video introduction to be played during our pre-convention meetings (dates TBA).
