This resolution was amended during the course of debate. The amendment concerned the proposed Section 10, item c.i., now reading:

(c)  When the need arises to elect a Bishop, the Standing Committee will establish, charge and appoint the members of an ad hoc Bishop Nominating Committee in respect of such election.  

(i)   The Bishop Nominating Committee will consist of a number of persons determined by the Standing Committee, but not fewer than 12, at least one-third of whom are members of the Clergy including at least one representative from the order of priests and one representative from the order of deacons. In addition, the Bishop Nominating Committee shall include a non-voting chaplain. The members of the Bishop Nominating Committee will be selected and appointed by the Standing Committee following an application process open to all members of the Clergy and the laity of the Diocese. Members of the Bishop Nominating Committee will serve at the pleasure of the Standing Committee.

Budget Resolution 1 – Appropriations
YES by acclamation

Be it resolved, that the 150th Convention approve the action of the bishop and Diocesan Council in appropriating $2,868,298 for the 2025 Operating Budget expenditures. $2,438,286 is Mission Share. Such sum includes $440,000 as the Diocese of Southern Ohio’s Assessment to The Episcopal Church for 2025.

Be it resolved that the 150th Convention authorize the bishop and Diocesan Council to carry out the programs and policies, to set up and implement the Operating Budget, and to make related expenditures for the Mission and Ministry of the Diocese of Southern Ohio from January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025.
